She implemented some reconfiguring of the available space to give a more airy sense, while creating a more functional and compact kitchen. Designer met with intergenerational family members to obtain input and communicated effectively with one-man contractor. She made numerous visits to see progress, even during COVID-19 and fully observed social distancing. She accompanied me when I shopped for appliances and assisted in the selection of custom kitchen cupboards. “I had the pleasure of working with Blanche Nelson of BR Nelson Designs LLC to redesign two bathrooms in my condo in New York. Blanche has made my bathroom dreams come through! With Blanche’s help I converted one half bath in my guest room into a full bath with a gorgeous glass enclosed shower, and converted the only full bath into an en-suite for my master bedroom with an amazing clawfoot tub and separate glass enclosed shower. I am incredibly happy. Blanche and I partnered throughout the design and construction phases which was very important to me as I had strong ideas about what I wanted. “In the end, I got an apartment I love! It’s comfortable, classy and uncluttered. No detail was overlooked. New floors were laid. My small dining room is highlighted by a beautiful stone and wood table. The full wall of windows is emphasized by simple but richly textured shades and just below is a custom-made wall to wall bookcase. The kitchen was updated and the issues with the general flow in the apartment corrected. Even my bathroom looks like new after some artistic and resourceful fixes. The pieces I wanted to keep from my old apartment were redone with new fabric or stains so that they blend seamlessly with my new furnishings.”
